At camp, we had awesome activities, and everyone had an amazing time. This collage showcases some of our fun at camp. My favorite activity was probably high ropes, because I was challenged and my group was very encouraging.
I am a Year8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Pie Fillings - Tech @ Tamaki College
Today at tech we made our pie fillings. My group used vegetable mince, and onions. We put a tablespoon of oil and mixed the mince and diced onions together in our pan. After a while of stirring, we added our soy sauce mixture gradually, to make our mince thicker. Next week we will be adding our cheese and making our pastry.

Kiwisport - Tennis & Futsul
Today LS1, LS2 and Room 5 walked down to the tennis courts at the Marist Club to play futsul and tennis. My group started by playing futsul. We used all the techniques that we were taught at school. We then rotated to tennis. We learned about control and how to hit the tennis ball correctly.
Thank you to Martian and Nevil who provided us fun. We had an amazing time.
Up! - Recount of High Ropes - Camp 2017
Up!
The crowd cheered, “Nazella, Nazella, Nazella!”
Each step made the beam wobble, just like my knees. I could feel my sweat rolling down my forehead. The view was so majestic, the flowers bloomed with perfection. I looked down and gulped. My group looked like the newborn ants.
I felt even more nervous after each step, I felt invincible, I was mixed with emotions. The roar grew louder and louder with some deadly suggestions while I was on the beam. I walked faster trying to get this over and done with. My heart was racing, each step caused a roar in the crowd. I rushed over to hug the pole. My heart raced faster than a cheetah. I wondered if I could do any trick, then JR shouted, ‘Do a pushup!’ What a coincidence. At first I was scared but then I remembered that camp was about trying new things and challenging yourself, so I got down, went into position then boom! I did it. I was so proud, like what?
At the end of the day, I had accomplished one of goals which I wanted to complete while I was at camp. Now, I feel invincible, I feel like I am wonder-woman.
This is my recount about my experience with the high ropes at camp. A goal I set for myself before we went to camp was to go up the high ropes. I was nervous at first, but I felt more confident after everyone started encouraging me.

Quiche - Tech @ Tamaki College
Today at tech we made quiche. Last week, we made a smaller version of quiche, so Ms. Heka decided to make a bigger version this week. This was to teach us how to make pastries. We first started off by making the pastry, then filled them up with the fillings, onions, cheese, cream, spinach, and tomatoes. It took a while to make, but it was delicious.
