This term we have been looking at flight, the year 7's have been learning about Godwits (Kuaka in Maori). We were learning about their migration, I worked collaboratively with Calvin and Oh Hsen and improved our team work skills. When we were researching, we had to narrow our search so that we can get the information needed, and putting the keywords only. I learnt that the Godwits migrate from Auckland to Alaska non stop, but stop at the yellow sea to refuel. We also tried something new, we made a digital sketchnote where we used shapes and text boxes.
What a wonderful example of collaboration Nazella! I am very impressed with the information you have included in your DLO, especially the comparison between how long the godwit takes to fly to Alaska compared with the time a plane takes. Adding the sketchnote to this post is a great idea too. Superb work all of you!
