Yesterday Fifta, Zahra, Mia and I read an article "Tour Like No Other". This article discussed the protest that was made to stop the Springboks from playing with the All Blacks because of the segregation between the different races. The Springboks is the South African rugby team, and the All Blacks is the New Zealand rugby team. After finishing the article and watching some videos, we were asked to make an informed opinion. Should people use sports to promote change?
I am a Year8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Provocation
This week, we talked about the money support to the visually impaired people. We read many websites that told us about the support in different countries. Mrs Anderson then asked us, is New Zealand giving much support to the visually impaired people with the currency? We then made a provocation, a side that says yes we're, and a side that says no we aren't.

Provocation about Olympics venues
This week we have been learning to observe both sides of an provocation so that we can make an informed opinion. Mrs Anderosn asked a question: Should host countries waste so much money on Olympic venues? Most of the class said no because the money could be wasted on better things like education and poverty. People said yes to because it would showcase their country and it'll increase the amount of tourists.
