A Tatau is a Samoan traditional tattoo. I learned about the Tatau this week. It was interesting because I have never heard about it before, but I have seen it. I think that the Tatau is very important to the Samoans and has a powerful meaning to them, but not all Samoans have the tattoo.
I am a Year8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Samoan Language Week - Main Idea
Since it is Samoan Language Week, Mrs Anderson created some activities about Samoa's traditions/culture. For this activity, we listened to a speech by Mata'afa Elia Autagavaia talking about how we should preserve the old traditions of the Samoan dances, and to tell the next generation how to correctly dance in Samoa.
