At the end of term 3 PBS is performing a school production. Zoe, our dance instructor came in yesterday and taught us some of our dance routine. While we were learning, Mrs Anderson took a video of our group dancing. Today we used the video to practice rewindable learning. We watched the video and replayed it so that we could practice/revise our dance. I think that rewindable learning helped our group improve and realize that some moves we were performing weren't correct.
I am a Year8 student at Panmure Bridge School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Learning Space 2 and my teachers are Mrs Anderson and Ms Kirkpatrick.

Dance - Evaluating our Dance
Today in dance we were recorded so that we could evaluate our dance. Mia, Javeylor and I analyzed our dance and realized we should focus on our timing since it looked quite unorganized. Next week we should also add a couple of more dance moves so it looks more detailed. Either than that, I think we did better than last week.

Dance - Evaluating
Today in dance we were evaluating our dance. We did this by recording our dance routine and watching it. Our group realized that we needed to work on our transition and timing. Next week Javeylor, Mia and me are going to focus on our transitions, timing and our music choice.

Dance - Music Choice
Today for dance we talked about our music choice. Ms. Brett told us that our actions/movements needed to be in time with the music in order for it to look organized. We compared rock and piano to the music with the beats. We realized that the piano and rock didn't go well with the dance because it was slow and too fast compared to the dance.

Dance - Free Flow and Bound Flow
For dance today we looked at free flow and bound flow dance moves. Free flow is when you move freely using your bones. It felt as if we were imitating snakes. While bound flow is when you move like a robot, using your muscles. Mia and I made shapes like circles, triangles and squares with our arms. We used different levels for each shape. The hardest shape was the triangle since our hands had to be straight. The easiest shape was a circle since it was curved. Next week I am hoping to create new shapes like a heart or a diamond.

Music - Dance T2W2
This term for music, we are focusing on dance. Mishaan, Mia, and I made our own warm up routine today. A warm up helps loosen our muscles, and increases our heart rate, our breathing, and our flexibility which helps our body when we are doing sports and dancing etc. Next week, I think I need to talk more and share more ideas to my group.
